Why to Participate in a SlutWalk
Hello, welcome to my site. Please feel free to browse around and write your comments and thoughts. You are also welcome to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting! Larissa
As humans we all like to feel good about ourselves. Women tend to make themselves feel good by looking good. That’s our nature. Therefore, taking advantage of that fact by accusing a women that she’s responsible for being raped or abused is WRONG. That’s what the SlutWalk is all about. Women can dress however they like to dress- and still not get raped!!!! WE WANT TO BE SAFE SLUTS!
You all probably know that it all started when Constable Michael Sanguinetti said: “women should avoid dressing like sluts in order not to be victimized.” on January 24, 2011. Ever since (well, almost), participants protest against explaining or excusing rape by referring to any aspect of a woman’s look and demanding the end of sexual violence. SlutWalks took over in more than over 70 cities around the world! and have been attended by thousands of women and men. In addition to the walks, the protest is well debated in the media all over the world.
Statistics show that each woman is being sexually abused (from any kind) at least once until she reaches 30. Isn’t that disturbing?!?!?! Tomorrow it can happen to YOU! Do you feel you should be dressed differently to make sure you are not next…..? If you , like me, feel that sexual abuse from any kind should come to an end, then please join to the next walk that’s taking place in your city.
urlookinggood.com supports SlutWalks and all the women out there who had ever been sexually abused and accused for that by their appearance.
You are welcome to read the stories and get updated in the SlutWalk’s new website.
So…think you’re gonna join us?

I know I am!
The Image above is very strong.
Are we human at all??
That is so true! The message in the image above is so powerful. It is really inspiring especially the words “I AM NOT ASHAMED. I WILL TAKE A STAND.” I salute her courage!

I remember reading about this in Toronto earlier this year. It’s absolutely crazy that someone’s attire can say to another person, “Hey, I’m easy – f*ck me!”. The world is a strange little place.
@DannyBrown , our world is indeed a strange little place…we should do something in order to make it happier.
Thanks for stopping by
It is never a bad idea to participate in a Slutwalk since it is a good way of showing appreciation and support. To everyone, all I want to say is never mind what others are thinking of you because it is not what they think that describes who you really are. Just do what you gotta do.
