Waxing

Waxing is the most ancient method for hair removal. In most cases it should be done professionally. It’s considered as almost permanent hair removal method due to the fact that it removes the entire hair from the root, or Epilation in its professional name .New hair grows back within a week and up to 9 weeks, depends on the hair type and physiological conditions such as pregnancy, puberty and so on.
How to wax…?
In general there are two waxing method. In Strip Wax method, hot wax is applied to the skin, and a strip of cloth or paper is pressed on the top. The strip is then quickly pulled away against the direction of hair growth, taking hairs with it. In Hard Wax method, the wax is applied thickly on the skin, the wax then hardens when it cools, thus allowing the easy removal by a therapist without the aid of cloths. This waxing method is very beneficial to people who have sensitive skin.
Why waxing?
There are many benefits to waxing versus other forms of hair removal. Waxing can be done at home. A bikini waxing can be easily done at home for instance. It’s an effective method to remove large amounts of hair at one time. Its results last for a long period of time. Areas that are repeatedly waxed over long periods of time often exhibit regrowth that is softer. It’s considered to be inexpensive as opposed to laser hair removal techniques.
Wax’s disadvantages:
It’s pretty messy. It’s painful especially when applied on sensitive areas such as the bikini area. When done professionally by a licensed esthetician it might be a bit expensive. Hairs can break off at or below surface and thus causing hair to grow in different directions or even lead to ingrown hairs. Ingrown hairs can be reduced by simple exfoliation and an azulene oil.

I personally like waxing. I think it’s one of the most efficient methods for hair removal. It’s not suitable for anyone though, each and every person should find him/herself the most suitable hair removal method according to his/her hair type.

I think using wax to remove hair is much better than plucking them. Although I’m interested to use this method than any other hair removal methods, I’m quite unsure if I can take the pain. Is they anything can be done to reduce the pain?
